When YULI performs, familiar and unfamiliar impressions combine in surprising ways to create a unique soundscape. The loop station artist is so versatile that he sounds like a full band, performing on stage surrounded by guitars, synthesizers, drum pads, and effects.
His songs thrive on strong contrasts between atmospheric soundscapes and defined beats. Melancholic yet hopeful, they transport listeners to surreal worlds.

YULI also uses language as an instrument. The sound of the lyrics plays just as important a role as their content. His German-English lyrics are imbued with cryptic metaphors and poetic symbolism. With creative wordplay, he creates a rhythmic flow that is also reflected in his beatbox parts and lends his music a dynamic energy.
The result is a musical journey that moves both body and mind – with powerful rhythms and sing-along choruses.
